Job summary

Elyria Foundry and Hodge Foundry are long-established manufacturers of large gray and ductile iron castings. The Technical Sales Engineer role is full-time, hybrid, based in the Greater Cleveland area, with heavy travel and on-site work in Elyria, OH.

You will identify customer needs, prepare technical proposals, and recommend casting solutions aligned with performance and cost. You will collaborate with engineering and production, maintain relationships, translate requirements into feasible

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Materials Science, or related field, or equivalent practical experience in industrial sales and applications engineering.
• 5+ years of sales or engineering experience in a fast-paced metals industry within the last 5–10 years.
• Experience with No bake and Green Sand-Casting processes preferred.
• Strong skills in technical sales, opportunity management, negotiation, and revenue growth.

Responsibilities

• Hunt for sales opportunities and manage current accounts.
• Conduct plant and customer visits and collaborate with engineering and production teams.
• Provide technical support during quotation and order fulfillment.
• Build and maintain customer relationships and present technical information clearly.
• Assist with negotiations and contribute to sales forecasts and strategic planning.
• Track market trends and support product development initiatives.
