Job summary

Elyria Foundry|Hodge Foundry in Elyria, Ohio, seeks a Process Engineering Manager to lead the process engineering team, drive continuous improvement, and develop SOPs for molding and core making.

The role emphasizes QA, SPC/SQC, root cause analysis, cross-functional collaboration, and mentoring staff; a Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years in a sand molding foundry is preferred. This is a full-time salary-exempt position based in Elyria, OH.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of ten years’ related experience.
• Sand molding foundry experience required OR related experience.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to maintain detailed documentation and filing of quality records.
• Strong communication skills and ability to mentor staff.
• Ability to work off hours as needed.

Responsibilities

• Develops, implements, and coordinates process control programs to prevent or eliminate defects in new or existing products.
• Leads process engineering team within the organization.
• Directs process engineering team engaged in process improvement/optimization activities.
• Supports product engineering team in the analysis, inspection, design, test, and/or integration to assure product quality.
• Prepares reports to communicate involvement and results of process improvement activities.
• Lead root cause analysis such as 8D and effective resolutions.
