Job summary

Capital One leads the search for a Lead Technical Consultant to drive technical execution, manage Jira backlogs, build release plans, and optimize delivery across our digital product ecosystem. You will shield the Implementation Team from mid-stream disruptions and ensure timely launches.

You will act as the operational bridge between strategy and execution, own project execution, coordinate cross-functional groups, and drive continuous improvement in delivery workflows.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent certification.
• At least 3 years of experience as a Technical Project Manager or Agile Delivery Lead managing software development teams within the banking or payments industries.
• At least 2 years of experience working with API testing tools and JIRA.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day agile planning, alignment meetings, demos, retrospectives, and backlog refinement events.
• Translate features into user stories with acceptance criteria and definitions of ready and done.
• Oversee capacity, develop release plans, monitor velocity, and track metrics in Jira.
• Run operational interference to shield teams from mid-stream changes and shifts in priority.
• Identify bottlenecks, streamline workflows, and reduce time-to-market.
• Serve as the primary technical bridge between business stakeholders, partners, and engineering.
• Support sizing, impact assessments, and API troubleshooting during execution.
