Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience with a bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
• Active Secret clearance with TS/SCI eligibility. The candidate must maintain the clearance.
• Demonstrated experience in technology strategy, R&D management, or technical operations within the defense or intelligence community.
• Proven track record of developing and maintaining technology roadmaps that align business, customer, and technology perspectives.
• Experience managing IRAD or R&D portfolios from proposal evaluation through execution and transition.
• Strong understanding of defense acquisition processes and how technology investments translate to competitive advantage.
• Experience mentoring or developing technical talent, including career development, training program design, or workforce planning.
• Excellent facilitation and collaboration skills, with the ability to bring together diverse stakeholders and drive alignment across organizational boundaries.
• Demonstrated ability to build and sustain cross‑functional relationships across technical, business, and corporate organizations.
• Full‑time availability with flexibility for hybrid work and travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Develop, govern, and maintain technology roadmaps in close partnership with emergent technology community and sector stakeholders.
• Translate roadmaps into inputs for capture strategies, proposal development, and program planning.
• Balance near‑term customer readiness with longer‑term technology priorities and emerging trends.
• Execute the IRAD strategy set by the CTO, managing lifecycle from ideation through investment decision to project execution.
• Vet proposals for technical merit, business alignment, customer relevance, and growth potential with SMEs and sector stakeholders.
• Maintain visibility into the sector‑wide IRAD portfolio and identify gaps or opportunities to optimize.
• Track and communicate business impact metrics to leadership.
• Build and sustain relationships to identify technologies and approaches that strengthen Space sector capabilities.
• Drive technology transfer from Peraton Labs and other units into sector programs.
• Create mechanisms for capturing lessons learned and reusable assets.
• Mentor technical leaders, define career paths, and support workforce development.
• Identify training needs and develop formal and informal programs to spread knowledge.
• Support workforce planning to ensure to have the right talent at the right time.
• Partner with program managers to identify optimization opportunities and ensure differentiators reach capture teams.
• Track the business impact of enablement activities across the sector.
• Provide regular reporting on execution status, portfolio health, and outcomes.
