Job summary

Spiceworks is seeking an ambitious Events Manager to support the Director of Events across SpiceWorld and regional activations. This mid-level role emphasizes execution, strategy, and collaboration with sales, CS, and vendors.

You will manage on-site production, attendee experience, and data platforms (Cvent/Bizzabo), while coordinating budgets and speaker logistics for a flagship conference and related events.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of corporate event management experience, preferably in B2B or tech.
• Experience with flagship, owned user conferences and direct management of hotels and conference centers is strongly preferred.
• Hands-on expertise in event tech platforms (Cvent, Bizzabo, or equivalent) for registration and sponsor management.
• Strong contract literacy with experience reviewing vendor proposals and tracking event budgets.
• Practical knowledge across the full event lifecycle, including strategy support and content coordination.

Responsibilities

• Strategic & Attendee Experience Support: Align event initiatives with business goals and brand strategy; manage attendee touchpoints pre-, at-, and post-event.
• Sponsorship & Sales Alignment: Collaborate with sales, join sponsor calls, assist in activation packages, ensure sponsor deliverables.
• Vendor & Venue Coordination: Serve as primary operational contact for vendors and venue management; source bids and oversee room sets and catering flow.
• Event Technology & Data Administration: Lead setup and maintenance of event platforms (Cvent/Bizzabo) for registration, data integrity, and apps.
• Onsite Execution & Production: Lead onsite load-in, setup, strike, and coordinate power, Wi-Fi, AV, decor, security, and temp labor.
• Content & Speaker Logistics: Support program curation and manage speaker requirements, AV, green room, and tech runs.
• Budget Tracking & Fulfillment: Track budgets, audit invoices, manage room blocks, and oversee assets and logistics.
