Job summary

The Tech Coalition is seeking an Events Manager to lead planning and delivery of our portfolio of external and internal events, including conferences, convenings, and staff retreats. You will partner with department event owners to translate strategic objectives into polished experiences, while owning the project-management process, logistics, and execution.

Reporting to the Director of Administration, you will drive budgets, timelines, and cross-team coordination to deliver impactful events

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressively responsible experience planning and delivering professional events.
• Experience leading events with multiple stakeholders and external vendors.
• Strong project management with multiple workstreams and deadlines.
• Experience managing budgets and vendor relationships.
• Strategic thinking with attention to operational detail.

Responsibilities

• Serve as central point of coordination for event planning and execution with strong PM discipline.
• Lead planning, coordination, and execution of the annual conference and related events.
• Develop master event plans with milestones, budgets, and timelines.
• Maintain organization-wide events calendar and align resources.
• Coordinate across programs, member success, public affairs, and leadership to clarify ownership.
• Define event objectives with senior leaders and translate into executable plans.
• Oversee budgets, commitments, expenditures, and early risk detection.
• Source and manage event vendors, venues, production partners, and caterers.
• Direct day-to-day event logistics, including registration, AV, travel, and onsite ops.
• Establish standards, processes, and post-event evaluation for continuous improvement.
