Job summary

Vaco is seeking a Tax Advisor to support tax compliance, research, accounting, and advisory activities across the organization. This role partners with business and finance teams to help ensure accurate tax reporting and identify potential tax risks and opportunities.

The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in tax, the ability to research unfamiliar issues, analyze data, and work across state and local taxes. Experience with tax technology or ERP systems is a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience in state and local taxes is a plus.
• Strong general tax foundation and analytical skills.
• Ability to research tax issues and translate guidance into business recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and review recurring tax filings across jurisdictions.
• Research federal, state, and local tax laws and guidance.
• Assist with tax audits, notices, and information requests.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to strengthen tax processes.
