Vaco by Highspring is partnering to identify a Tax Manager to oversee tax compliance, reporting, and regulatory requirements across a multi-entity organization. This hands-on role leads tax functions across locations, partnering with Finance and Operations to ensure accurate month-end close and strategic tax planning.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years of tax experience, strong multi-state tax background, and excellent cross-functional collaboration skills. CPA is a plus but not required.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 7+ years of relevant tax experience.
• Strong background in multi-state tax compliance, particularly sales and use tax and property tax.
• Experience managing compliance across multiple entities or locations.
• Familiarity with business licensing and regulatory requirements.
• Experience working with external tax advisors and cross-functional teams.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting or tax software.
• CPA preferred but not required.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee multi-state tax compliance, including preparation, review, and filing of returns.
• Manage sales and use tax and property tax reporting, payments, reconciliations, and related compliance matters.
• Coordinate with external tax advisors on additional tax matters, filings, and reporting requirements.
• Oversee business licensing and regulatory compliance across multiple locations.
• Manage license applications, renewals, and compliance deadlines to support ongoing operations and expansion.
• Serve as primary contact for tax authorities, regulatory agencies, and external advisors.
• Prepare tax-related journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and reporting for month-end close.
• Partner with Finance, Operations, and other internal teams on tax matters.
• Monitor changes in tax regulations and identify process improvements.
• Support new business initiatives and expansion through tax planning.
