Job summary

Vaco by Highspring is seeking a Tax Analyst to join our growing tax function in Atlanta. You will handle federal, state, and local income tax compliance, prepare extensions and estimated payments, and support ASC 740 provisions.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor's in Accounting, 1–3 years tax experience, strong Excel skills, and a proactive, learning mindset. A Master of Accountancy and experience with Thomson Reuters or OneSource are helpful but not required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required.
• 1–3 years of tax experience.
• Exposure to corporate tax or public accounting.
• Strong Excel, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage priorities and take ownership.
• Proactive attitude and eagerness to learn.
• Master of Accountancy and experience with Thomson Reuters/OneSource are helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Federal, state, and local income tax compliance.
• Tax extensions, returns, and estimated payments.
• Quarterly and annual ASC 740 income tax provisions.
• International tax compliance and provisions.
• Tax planning, modeling, and research.
• Tax notices, inquiries, and examinations.
• Monitoring and researching tax-law changes.
• Additional projects supporting the broader income tax function.
