Job summary

Region 4 Education Service Center in Houston, TX seeks an Assistant Director-Talent Training & Support to provide strategic leadership and oversee educator development initiatives.

This role leads the design and implementation of professional learning, coaching, mentoring, and talent development, partnering with TEA, HB2 priorities, and district partners to improve educator practice and student outcomes.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Education, Educational Leadership, Curriculum and Instruction, or related field.
• Valid Texas teacher and principal or equivalent administrator certificates; T-TESS and T-PESS certifications.
• Extensive HB 2/TEA requirements knowledge and evidence-based practices.
• Experience mentoring or coaching teachers and leaders to improve outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and oversight for regional educator development initiatives.
• Lead planning, monitoring, and improvement of grant-funded talent development programs.
• Establish implementation plans, milestones, and performance indicators.
• Coordinate high-quality professional learning and coaching for teachers and leaders.
• Develop coaching systems, mentoring structures, and staff development workflows.
• Collaborate with district partners and TEA to align with HB 2 priorities.
• Support Region 4 Inspire Texas EPP and knowledge management efforts.
