Job summary

REGION 4 Education Service Center in Houston seeks an Assistant Director to lead the development and implementation of innovative teacher certification pathways. This role oversees preservice preparation, clinical experience, and partnerships with school districts to ensure high-quality, compliant programs.

The position reports to the Department Director and requires substantial travel throughout the Region 4 area.

Qualifications

• Master's degree required in education or a related field.
• Administrative/Professional classification with Exempt status.
• Ten or more years of teaching experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and implementation of innovative teacher certification pathways.
• Coordinate with school system partners and CTAPP/TEA during program development and SBEC approval.
• Oversee preservice, clinical, and mentoring components to ensure compliance with TAC/House Bill 2.
• Travel region-wide to support partnerships and program activities.
