Ladders in New York seeks a Head of Talent to shape the organization’s talent agenda and partner with senior leadership on hiring, development, and workforce planning. The role blends strategic leadership with hands‑on execution to attract and retain top talent in a competitive market.

You will influence compensation, performance, and succession practices, build a scalable recruiting function, and drive proactive talent pipelines across the business at scale from SoHo offices.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of recruiting experience, including 3+ years leading teams in tech.
• Proven ability to build and scale a recruiting function.
• Experience hiring senior talent in competitive markets.
• Expertise in workforce planning and talent strategy.
• Strong judgment in advising on hiring and compensation.
• Experience in internal talent development and performance management.
• Data-driven mindset with experience in metrics and process improvement.
• Hands-on experience with ATS and recruiting tools.
• Excellent communication skills to build trust with stakeholders.
• Willingness to work from the SoHo, New York office.

Responsabilités

• Own and define the company’s long-term talent strategy
• Advise leadership on role scoping, leveling, and compensation
• Set and maintain high hiring standards as the company grows
• Collaborate on internal talent development and succession planning
• Shape performance assessment and growth strategies
• Build and mentor the recruiting team, including in-house recruiters
• Conduct key searches for senior and hard-to-fill roles
• Develop proactive talent pipelines through sourcing and mapping
• Ensure a respectful and efficient candidate experience throughout the hiring process
• Manage recruiting operations, including ATS and interview processes
• Track and analyze hiring metrics to enhance recruitment effectiveness
• Coordinate with team leads on onboarding and new hire integration
