Job summary

Capital Health in New Jersey is seeking a Medical Office Scheduler/Receptionist to join our OR and GI Endoscopy scheduling team. You will coordinate cases, collect patient information, obtain pre-certifications, and help ensure efficient flow.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year of medical office or hospital setting experience.

Responsibilities

• Schedules procedures and testing for patients at the hospital on a timely basis.
• Obtains pre-certification and authorizations from various insurance carriers.
• Oversees the registration and checkout process and the handling of medical records to assure efficient flow of patients.
• Coordinates the communication of follow-up care needs/reminder cards to patients.
• Plans daily schedule to maximize physician productivity in the practice.
