Job summary

Sunrise Foods International in Chicago is seeking a Master Planner to oversee end-to-end planning for a defined business segment, aligning demand and supply with commercial goals. You will own forecasting, inventory optimization, S&OP support, and cross-functional collaboration with Sales, Procurement, and Logistics to ensure product availability and service levels.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field and strong planning experience are required.
• Minimum 5 years in supply chain planning, demand or operations planning.
• Experience in agriculture or food manufacturing is preferred.
• APICS/CPIM or similar certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end planning for an assigned product or business segment.
• Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts with Sales and Commercial teams.
• Manage supply planning to ensure product availability while optimizing working capital and inventory.
• Oversee inventory planning and replenishment strategies across the supply chain.
• Implement commodity and position planning to support business objectives and mitigate risk.
• Serve as the primary supply chain partner for the Commercial team.
• Coordinate with procurement, logistics, operations, and customer relations to align plans.
• Analyze data to identify risks, opportunities, and process improvements.
• Monitor KPIs like forecast accuracy, inventory turns, fill rates, and service levels.
• Develop scenario analyses and contingency plans for disruptions and variability.
• Support S&OP processes through reporting and cross-functional coordination.
• Drive continuous improvement of planning systems and processes.
• Assist with ERP and planning system implementation and optimization.
• Ensure timely reporting of risks and opportunities to stakeholders.
• All other duties as required.
