Job summary

Alfa Laval Mid Europe GmbH in Richmond, VA, is seeking a Supply Chain Planner to translate demand forecasts into effective supply plans, balance demand and production capacity, and optimize inventory to meet customer expectations. This on-site role includes relocation assistance.

The candidate will collaborate across functions to improve planning processes, support business objectives, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, with a focus on ensuring product availability and service

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, Operations Management, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in supply chain planning, production planning, materials planning, or a related role within manufacturing.
Experience working with ERP systems and planning tools.
Knowledge of supply chain planning principles, inventory management, and manufacturing operations.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to use data to support decision-making.
Effective communication and collaboration across functions and levels of the organization.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

Lead and coordinate supply chain planning activities in partnership with product groups and operational teams.
Facilitate monthly supply reviews and drive actions to address supply risks, constraints, and gaps.
Develop and implement inventory strategies aligned with service, operational, and business objectives.
Convert demand forecasts into actionable supply and component plans.
Maintain planning data integrity and support accurate decision-making through analysis and reporting.
Monitor supply chain performance metrics and identify opportunities for improvement.
Partner cross-functionally to optimize end-to-end supply chain processes and support business continuity.
Support continuous improvement initiatives, process enhancements, and waste reduction efforts.
Identify, evaluate, and mitigate supply chain risks to maintain operational efficiency and customer service levels.
