Job summary

Motion in Indianapolis is seeking an Operations Manager to lead inbound and outbound supply chain activities, ensuring safety, accuracy, and efficiency across dock, yard, and warehouse operations. You will work with center leadership to implement strategic initiatives and drive performance.

You will develop teams, optimize processes, manage budgets, and push continuous improvements to boost customer satisfaction in a fast-paced distribution environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience within a distribution center or similar environment.
• 1+ year’s proven experience in a managerial role and/or leading teams.
• Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics software (WMS, ERP).
• Lean six sigma and project management skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with General Manager and/or Assistant General Manager to implement operational strategies.
• Manages inbound/outbound operations with strategic performance expectations and troubleshooting.
• Leads inbound operations including receiving, stocking, and safety protocols.
• Leads truck yard operations including trailers maintenance and safety protocols.
• Trains and develops employees to ensure peak efficiency and proper safety procedures.
• Handles customer and supplier inquiries, prioritizing timely resolutions and ownership.
