Job summary

NAPA Indianapolis is seeking an Operations Manager to oversee inbound and outbound warehouse activities, ensuring safety compliance and efficient operations. You will partner with senior leadership to implement strategic plans, optimize workflows, and coach teams for peak performance.

This role demands strong leadership, analytical problem-solving, and hands-on experience with warehouse software. A bachelor's degree and several years in distribution logistics are highly preferred.

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience within a distribution center or similar environment.
• 1+ year’s proven experience in a managerial role and/or leading teams.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail and a proactive approach to addressing challenges.
• Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics software (e.g., WMS, ERP systems).
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with General Manager and/or Assistant General Manager in implementing operational strategies to optimize efficiency and productivity.
• Manages inbound and/or outbound operations by setting strategic performance expectations and monitoring productivity.
• Leads strategic implementation of inbound operations including receiving dock, stocking, housekeeping and safety protocols.
• Leads truck yard operations, ensuring efficient organization of trailers and safety procedures.
• Trains and develops employees to ensure teams operate at high efficiency and address gaps.
• Responds to customer and partner inquiries promptly and resolves escalations as needed.
• Works cross-functionally with other DC management to investigate patterns of receiving/shipping errors.
• Maintains awareness of budget and cost management, pursuing cost-saving improvements.
