Job summary

Capewell Aerial Systems LLC in South Windsor, CT seeks a Supply Chain Manager to lead purchasing, planning, scheduling, and inventory control, driving on-time delivery and supplier performance. You will manage the supply chain team and coordinate with engineering on part structures and lead times.

You will ensure supply, negotiate terms with vendors, and optimize processes in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, maintaining AS9100 quality standards and strong cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business, engineering, operations, or a related field.
• Minimum of five years of purchasing or supply chain experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Minimum of three years of supervisory experience or leadership of cross-functional teams.
• Experience working within an AS9100-compliant quality management system.
• Strong knowledge of purchasing, production planning, scheduling, material requirements planning, inventory control, and cycle counting.
• Demonstrated understanding of quote-to-cash processes and work order generation in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with VISUAL Manufacturing ERP; experience with ERP/MRP systems.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, and related technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Leadership of purchasing, planning, scheduling, and overall MRP responsibilities in VISUAL Manufacturing ERP System.
• Ensure timely delivery of purchased goods; raw, fabricated, and service items to support production delivery schedules.
• Responsible for all work order generation to support customer delivery schedules.
• Advises BD team and Sales of product availability and lead times.
• Evaluate new vendors for qualifications as to quality / price / service.
• Negotiate price, delivery, and terms with supply chain.
• Expedite internal and external orders.
• Update part parameters within the VISUAL ERP System.
• Coordinates make/buy decisions including part structure with engineering.
• Responsible for the management and development of the Supply Chain Team.
• Supports and leads continuous improvement efforts in areas of responsibility.
• Coordinates production needs with planning, manufacturing, and shipping.
• Responsible for controlling inventory levels to annual goals.
