Capewell Aerial Systems in South Windsor, CT is seeking a Buyer to source and purchase materials for manufacturing, balancing quality, cost, delivery, supplier performance and process compliance. You will create purchase orders, evaluate suppliers, negotiate terms, and track orders while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure on-time delivery and supply chain resilience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 4 years of relevant supply chain experience in manufacturing is required.
• Strong working knowledge of MRP and best purchasing practices.
• Experience with Visual ERP or similar ERP system is required.
• Excellent computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Knowledge of Quality Management Systems requirements (AS9100, ISO 9001).
• Working knowledge of EAR and ITAR.

Responsabilités

• Research, select and purchase quality products and materials.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, lead times, and service expectations with suppliers.
• Create purchase orders, gather documents, and audit details for compliance.
• Process requisitions and update management on order status.
• Coordinate with internal customers to expedite requisitions or identify supply chain solutions.
• Arrange transport of goods and track orders for timely delivery.
• Analyze supplier market conditions, total cost, quality and risk to support operations.
• Resolve supplier performance issues and qualify alternate sources as needed.
• Coordinate with inventory and stockroom to ensure material availability.
• Maintain safe and clean work area and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
