Job summary

Balfour Beatty Group Enabling Functions is seeking a Supply Chain Manager to lead strategic supply chain engagement across Major Projects, ensuring early alignment with bid objectives and commercial targets.

You'll develop and deploy robust supply chain strategies, secure commitments from partners, and shape compliant sourcing approaches to enhance competitiveness within a cross-functional bid and delivery team.

Qualifications

• Relevant business degree or MCIPS (desirable)
• Experience in developing and delivering supply chain strategy
• Pragmatic yet disciplined approach to process compliance
• Highly results orientated; proven track record of exceeding targets
• Team player with strong stakeholder management skills
• Flexible and driven; customer focused
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Responsibilities

• Lead supply chain strategy development for bids and align with commercial targets.
• Facilitate supplier relationship management and continuous improvement.
• Implement supplier performance management via Jaggaer.
• Drive early market engagement and assess capacity and risk.
• Contribute to PQQ and ITT responses with value propositions.
• Enable Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) to optimise delivery.
• Define packaging strategy and supply chain architecture.
• Support estimators with credible, market-tested assumptions.
• Governance and risk management for supply chain.
• Report readiness, risks and opportunities to Gate Reviews.
• Drive continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
• Ensure mobilisation readiness from bid to delivery.
