Job summary

SGS Consulting is seeking a Materials Planner to collaborate with ODMs, supply and demand planning teams to maintain accurate subcomponent material data ensuring on-time delivery against forecasts. The role focuses on risk management, procurement support, and data-driven optimization across internal and external partners.

You will analyze demand/supply and MRP reports, drive process improvements, and build strong relationships across time zones to ensure efficient materials management and stock

Qualifications

• Strong data analytics skills and ability to distill insights from complex datasets.
• Experience with ERP systems and data visualization tools.
• Proven ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams and time zones.
• Experience in procurement, operations, or supply chain management, preferably in tech.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate subcomponent material supply data with ODMs and planning teams to ensure on-time delivery.
• Drive MRP readiness and mitigate risks from shortages or disruptions.
• Build and maintain relationships with internal partners, ODMs, and suppliers for smooth collaboration.
• Analyze data to drive supply chain processes and world-class materials management.
• Continuously evaluate and improve materials management processes for efficiency and accuracy.
• Develop KPIs to track material planning, PO coverage, and supply chain optimization.
• Collaborate with inventory lead to optimize stock levels at ODMs and 3PL.
• Prioritize tasks and adapt to changing business needs and priorities.
• Interpret Demand/Supply and MRP reports to inform material planning and procurement decisions.
• Support material allocation decisions with internal/external teams to maximize rack supply.
