Job summary

SGS Consulting is seeking a Purchasing/Supply Chain professional in Indiana to ensure timely flow of materials and manage supplier relationships. You will coordinate POs, monitor KPIs, and address issues to keep production on schedule.

The role requires 1–3 years in Purchasing or related fields, familiarity with MRP, and proficiency in SAP and Excel. Collaboration across teams and strong negotiation skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure continuous availability and timely flow of raw materials, components, and sub-assemblies.
• Manage and coordinate open purchase orders and order scheduling activities.
• Monitor supplier performance using KPIs and address performance issues.
• Communicate with suppliers regarding late orders, delivery confirmations, and other order-related issues.
• Review and take daily action on Material Requirements Planning (MRP) messages.
• Identify recurring material or supplier issues and escalate them as needed.
• Coordinate with purchasing, production, materials, and other internal teams to resolve supply-related challenges.
• Prioritize tasks and manage multiple material-related activities in a fast-paced environment.
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Support negotiations and supplier discussions when required.
• Maintain accurate records and communication using Microsoft Office applications.
