Job summary

Forvia is seeking a Supplier Quality and Development Engineer to ensure the quality and development of suppliers for new and existing programs. You will support APQP, audits, and escalation, coordinating with SQA and purchasing to drive continuous improvement and compliance.

The ideal candidate holds an Engineering degree with 7+ years in automotive, 3+ years in supplier quality, advanced English, and international experience.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree required; minimum 7 years in automotive industry.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as Supplier Quality Engineer.
• Advanced English proficiency; experience in international environment.
• Experience with IATF 16949 and VDA 6.3 audit processes preferred.
• Strong knowledge of federal and internal regulations and APQP for new parts.

Responsibilities

• Support supplier panel management and APQP for development and mass production.
• Manage and resolve supplier quality issues; ensure action plans and escalation as needed.
• Lead supplier development initiatives and compliance with AIAG Core Tools and 8D methodology.
• Mentor SQA Engineers and train teams in Group methodologies.
• Coordinate cross-functional activities with purchasing and quality teams.
