Job summary

Forvia is seeking a Resident Engineer to act as the primary customer contact for all technical items in product development. You will lead engineering work packages, coordinate APQP milestones, and support program management to deliver on-time customer and internal milestones.

The role requires an engineering Master’s or BS, 5+ years in automotive, and strong leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration capabilities, with on-site support at customer locations as needed.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or BS in engineering or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in the automotive industry.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Owns customer relationship at DRE / D&R level and provides high level customer representation.
• Lead Engineering PMS Work Packages and Customer Engineering Milestones.
• Lead APQP processes and support Program Manager to ensure delivery of deliverables.
• Prepare and present customer technical reviews and identify future business opportunities.
• Lead DFMEA and DVP&R risk management and ensure EBOM meets QCD targets.
