Job summary

Forvia is seeking a Supplier Quality Commodities Engineer to develop and supervise supplier quality performance across defined automotive commodities. You will evaluate supplier systems, onboard new suppliers, and support program and serial life quality activities with ASQ/SQA collaboration.

Qualifications

• The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent.
• 5–10 years of proven Automotive Quality experience; mentor support may be provided.
• Strong problem-solving skills and Lean management experience with suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Develop supplier quality performance for defined commodities and suppliers.
• Evaluate supplier quality systems using VDA and Forvia standards.
• Qualify, onboard and onboard suppliers as strong partners.
• Support APQP elements at suppliers including boundary samples and audits.
• Lead supplier performance reviews and ensure effectiveness of corrective actions.
• Coordinate with ASQ, SQA, and commodity buyers to improve supplier performance.
• Train and share best practices within the commodity network.
• Ensure product safety and regulatory compliance across the lifecycle.
