Magellan Health, Inc. is seeking a Subcontracts Manager for remote work across the United States. You will collaborate with Legal, Compliance, IT, and program teams to manage the subcontract lifecycle and secure best value from suppliers.

The role demands strong negotiation skills and extensive experience in contracting for government and commercial programs. The position requires 7+ years in purchasing and 5+ years in subcontract administration, a Bachelor’s in Supply Chain or Business, and

Formación

• 7+ years of Purchasing experience.
• 5+ years of subcontract administration experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain or Business-related field required.
• Knowledge of FAR/DFARS and subcontract language.
• Strong customer service and business partnership skills.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and project management skills.
• Ability to collaborate across organizational levels and geographies.

Responsabilidades

• Build relationships with internal owners to develop and execute subcontracts.
• Prepare vendor agreements, review prime terms, flowdown and negotiations.
• Develop negotiation strategies and subcontract language using a risk-based approach.
• Support vendor due diligence and evaluation processes.
• Obtain required approvals from Legal, Compliance, IT, Security and stakeholders.
• Serve as liaison between Legal, business units and vendor representatives.
• Provide expert guidance on subcontract language, policy, and procedures.
• Assist with vendor implementations and transitions, ensuring terms are met.
• Monitor expiring subcontracts and manage renewals or terminations.
• Maintain external subcontractor relationships for key vendors.
• Document and maintain all vendor-related materials.
• Identify process improvements and cost savings opportunities.
• Coordinate with Program Management on payments, invoicing, and performance issues.
