Saab, Inc. seeks an experienced Manager of Subcontracts to lead a team of subcontract professionals supporting complex, high-value procurements and critical business initiatives.

This role oversees the full lifecycle from proposal support to supplier performance management, ensuring compliance with FAR/DFARS and DoD/FAA requirements. The position is based at Saab's headquarters in East Syracuse, NY, or offices in Bristol, RI; Orlando, FL; or Quincy, MA, with travel up to 25% and opportunities to

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business/Engineering or related field; master's preferred.
• 10+ years in supply chain, contracts, or material management (or 7+ years with a Master's).
• Leadership experience over subcontracts and related teams.
• Experience with government regulations (FAR/DFARS, ITAR/EAR, etc.).
• Advanced MS Office skills (Word/Excel/PowerPoint).
• Contract negotiation experience for DoD subcontracts.
• Knowledge of forecasting/planning tools for MRP systems.
• Strong financial analysis capabilities.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams domestically & international.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% and ability to obtain Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Subcontracts team, setting priorities and workloads.
• Oversee development, negotiation, and administration of high-value subcontracts.
• Ensure subcontracting activities comply with FAR/DFARS and Saab procedures.
• Provide SME guidance on subcontracting requirements and risk assessment.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance, Contracts and Legal to align sourcing strategies.
• Support strategic supply chain initiatives and process improvements.
• Establish policies, templates, tools, and best practices for risk management.
• Assist audits and government reviews with documentation and evidence.
• Lead workforce planning, hiring, and performance development for Subcontracts.
