Job summary

Saab, Inc. seeks an experienced Manager of Subcontracts to lead a team of professionals supporting complex, high-value procurements, including DoD and FAA programs. The role oversees the full subcontract lifecycle, from proposal support to negotiation and supplier performance management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Industrial Management, Supply Chain Management, Engineering-General or related field; Master's preferred.
• 10+ years of Supply Chain, Logistics, Contracts and Material Management experience (or 7+ years with a Master's).
• Leadership experience over Subcontracts, Proposal, Buying and Planning teams.
• Experience with government regulations (FAR/DFARS, ITAR/EAR, TINA, etc.).
• Advanced experience in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Contract negotiation experience for large DoD subcontracts.
• Knowledge of forecast and planning tools for MRP systems.
• Advanced financial analysis capabilities.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams (domestic & international).
• Willingness to travel up to 25% in support of Supply Chain objectives.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Subcontracts team, prioritizing workloads and ensuring timely, high-quality support across programs.
• Oversee development, negotiation, execution, and administration of complex subcontracts and supplier agreements.
• Ensure subcontracting activities comply with FAR, DFARS, DoD regulations and Saab procurement policies.
• Provide SME on subcontracting and contractual matters; guide interpretation and risk evaluation.
• Partner with functions to develop sourcing strategies aligned to program objectives.
• Support strategic supply chain initiatives and process improvements across functions.
• Establish and maintain subcontracting policies, templates, and best practices.
• Support internal and external audits and government reviews; prepare necessary documentation.
• Lead workforce planning, recruiting, performance management, and career development.
