Job summary

Saab, Inc. seeks a seasoned Manager of Subcontracts in the United States to lead a team of professionals across complex, high-value procurements.

You will oversee the full subcontract lifecycle, ensuring compliance with FAR/DFARS and DoD/FAA requirements while mitigating risk and driving supplier performance. Based at Saab's East Syracuse, NY headquarters or in Bristol, RI; Orlando, FL; or Quincy, MA, the role partners with cross-functional teams to develop sourcing strategies and negotiate

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Industrial Management, Supply Chain Management, Engineering-General or Industrial; Master's preferred.
10+ years of Supply Chain, Contracts and related experience (or 7+ years with a Master's).
Experience leading Subcontracts, Proposal, Buying and Planning teams.
Experience with government regulations (FAR/DFAR, ITAR/EAR, TINA).
Advanced experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Contract negotiation experience for large DoD subcontracts.
Knowledge of forecast and planning tools for MRP systems.
Advanced financial analysis capabilities.
Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams domestically and internationally.
Willingness to travel up to 25%.
Ability to obtain a Secret level security clearance.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage the Subcontracts team across programs and proposals.
Oversee development, negotiation, and administration of complex subcontracts and supplier agreements.
Ensure subcontracting activities comply with FAR/DFARS/DoD and Saab policies.
Provide SME guidance on subcontracting requirements and risk assessment.
Partner with Supply Chain, Engineering, Program Management, Finance, Contracts and Legal to align sourcing strategies.
Support strategic supply chain initiatives and continuous improvement across functions.
Establish subcontracting policies, templates, tools and best practices.
Support audits and reviews with required documentation.
Lead workforce planning, recruiting and performance development for Subcontracts.
