Job summary

Saab, Inc. seeks an experienced Manager of Subcontracts to lead a team supporting complex, high-value procurements and critical business initiatives.

You will oversee the full subcontract lifecycle, including proposal support, development, negotiation, and supplier performance management. Based at Saab’s headquarters in East Syracuse, NY, or our offices in Bristol, Orlando, Quincy, and more, you will manage regulatory risk, ensure compliance with FAR/DFARS and DoD/FAA requirements, and align

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business/engineering/supply chain or related field; MA/MBA preferred.
• 10+ years in supply chain, contracts and subcontracts management (or 7+ years with a Master's).
• Experience with government regulations (FAR/DFARS, ITAR/EAR).
• Willingness to travel up to 25% and ability to obtain a Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Subcontracts team with priorities and workloads.
• Oversee development, negotiation, and administration of complex subcontracts and supplier agreements.
• Ensure compliance with U.S. Government requirements (FAR/DFARS, DoD, Saab policies).
• Provide SME guidance on subcontracting and contractual matters.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to develop sourcing strategies.
• Support strategic supply chain initiatives and policy development.
• Establish subcontracting policies, templates, and best practices.
• Support audits and government reviews, including documentation.
