Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Senior Buyer to lead procurement activities across our supply chain operations. You will manage requisitions through final payment, negotiate strategic contracts, and ensure on-time, within-budget delivery of production materials.

The role requires strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills, with experience in ERP systems and regulatory compliance. Travel and relocation may be involved as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of experience or Master's with 4 years in Business Administration/Management, Supply Chain, or Engineering.
• Experience interpreting policies and regulations (FAR, DFAR, ITAR/EAR) and applying them to procurement.
• Ability to manage projects, keep compliant files, and track program metrics.
• Strong written and oral communication, with negotiation and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with ERP, MS Office, and data analytics to improve processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead procurement from requisition to final payment and resolve issues in this process.
• Identify, negotiate, and manage strategic contracts and LTAs with suppliers.
• Support cost analysis and proposal activities; participate in RFx processes.
• Ensure timely delivery of materials meeting budget and technical requirements.
• Develop and implement process improvements across supply chain activities.
