Job summary
Blue Origin is seeking a Buyer Sr. to drive strategic procurement for spaceflight programs from requisition to payment. You will ensure program priorities align with compliance standards and negotiate major contracts while improving efficiencies and on-time delivery.
The role emphasizes leadership in cost analysis, negotiation, and cross-functional collaboration across supply chain functions to support affordable, safe, and reliable spaceflight components.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with 10+ years of experience in Business Administration/Management, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related industry experience.
- Interprets and applies company policies, procedures, work instructions, and U.S. government regulations (FAR, DFAR, SOX).
- Ensure timely and effective completion of projects and initiatives of the supply chain department.
Responsibilities
- Develop strategic procurement solutions and day-to-day tactical purchasing functions for spaceflight systems.
- Lead the identification, negotiation, and management of strategic agreements (LTAs) and supplier partnerships to meet production needs.
