Job summary

STEEL WAREHOUSE CO LLC is seeking an Inside Sales professional to support outside sales, coordinate with scheduling and production, and act as a trusted advisor to key customers in the steel processing business.

You will own customer communications, help manage master contracts, and drive on-time delivery while balancing customer needs with internal capabilities. Prior inside sales experience is preferred and a willingness to learn is required.

Qualifications

• 2 year degree in Business or related field.
• Prior Inside sales experience preferred.
• Willingness to learn and grow in the steel processing business.
• Excellent communication skills both written and orally.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Interact with outside sales, scheduling, production, and materials assignment to proactively address customer requirements.
• Represent the company in daily interactions with key customers.
• Act as a partner to outside sales representatives and internal advisor after learning about assigned customers.
• Take ownership of communications to build and strengthen relationships with the business.
• Champion and manage master contracts to ensure usage and purchases are correct.
• Drive just-in-time delivery performance and inventory management by monitoring shipments and order reports.
• Manage pricing changes according to each customer program.
• Reconcile customer PO's and assist in developing advanced quality plans with quotes.
• Learn customer order patterns to manage forecasts impact on the business.
• Assist in outside processing (toll orders) as needed.
