Job summary

FirstHealth is seeking a Staffing & Scheduling Coordinator to ensure accurate payroll, efficient scheduling, and seamless daily staffing. The role includes balancing schedules, addressing staffing gaps, leading huddles, managing sick calls, and quarterly reconciliation of worked hours to maintain smooth operations.

The coordinator collaborates with staff to meet departmental needs, plans for future staffing, and ensures adherence to safety and health standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in communications, business, or a related field preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of products required.
• At least one year of experience in a fast-paced, multifaceted environment required.
• Experience with healthcare scheduling systems (ShiftWizard) and payroll systems (ADP) preferred.
• Familiarity with SharePoint and Microsoft Teams preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate and timely payroll through ADP timecard edits and hold team members accountable for verification.
• Open and balance schedules, address gaps, and plan for future staffing needs.
• Manage daily staffing, including identifying coverage gaps, sending alerts, and leading staffing huddles.
• Handle adjustments for acuity changes and sick calls, assign Float Pool staff, and coordinate with Charge Nurses for shift planning.
• Track and report sick calls and perform quarterly reconciliation of worked hours for specific staff groups.
