Job summary

The Phoenix Group Advisors in New York is seeking a Business Development Manager to grow new client relationships and expand our presence in the professional staffing market. You will identify hiring needs, develop consultative partnerships, and generate opportunities across Technology and AI, Finance and Accounting, and other services.

You will manage a pipeline, present staffing solutions, negotiate agreements, and work with Talent Advisors to deliver a superior client experience while hitting

Qualifications

• Three+ years in business development or sales
• Experience in staffing, recruiting, or professional services
• Ability to manage a pipeline with consistent outreach
• Strong communication and negotiation skills

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop relationships with prospective clients
• Generate new business via outreach, referrals, networking, and research
• Conduct discovery meetings to understand hiring priorities
• Present direct-hire, contract, contract-to-hire, and project staffing solutions
• Secure new job orders and inform Talent Advisors managing each search
• Build relationships with hiring managers, HR leaders, procurement teams, and executives
• Expand existing accounts with additional hiring needs, departments, and service opportunities
• Develop proposals, negotiate agreements, and support onboarding
• Maintain accurate prospect, client, and activity records in Bullhorn
• Partner with Talent Advisors for a responsive and consistent client experience
• Meet activity, job orders, and revenue goals
