Job summary

Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo in Houston, TX seeks a Sponsorship Account Executive to build strategic relationships and secure financial and in-kind support for the Show and Rodeo. You will serve as lead representative for designated sponsorships, coordinating activation efforts with sponsors and internal teams to drive fan engagement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in business administration, sports management, communications, marketing or advertising.
• Five years of related sponsorship, advertising sales, event presentation or coordination experience.
• Ability to work with advertising and marketing executives and partners.

Responsibilities

• Develop a thorough understanding of the uniqueness of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo and its importance in the western heritage, entertainment, educational and agricultural community.
• Serve as lead account representative for designated sponsorships and joint sponsorships, coordinating sponsor activation year-round to reach consumers and drive attendance.
• Maintain communication with more than thirty companies and/or advertising agencies, consultants and marketing partners.
• Promote a high degree of interest, involvement and enthusiasm among existing partners and prospective sponsors.
• Create and maintain proposal templates, hand-outs, reports for presentations to prospects and sponsors.
• Provide weekly reporting on prospect meetings, new opportunities, project development and targeted leads.
• Plan sponsor activations year-round, working with current and prospective sponsors to develop new activation strategies.
• Coordinate with the sponsorship operations team to ensure feasibility of fulfillment for each sponsor.
• Collaborate with outside vendors to ensure sponsor fulfillment through activations and Rodeo participation.
• Provide outstanding customer service to sponsors and advertisers throughout the year.
