Job summary

Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo seeks a Manager, Sponsorship and Business Development to build strategic corporate relationships and secure financial and in-kind support for the Show and Rodeo.

This role leads sponsor activations year-round, maintains partner communications, and coordinates proposals and contracts with internal teams. Strong stakeholder management and MS Office proficiency are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in business administration, sports management, communications, marketing or advertising.
• At least five years related experience in sponsorship, advertising sales, event presentation and special event coordination.
• Ability to build and nurture business relationships with advertisers and partners.

Responsibilities

• Develop a thorough understanding of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo and its role in the community.
• Serve as lead account representative for sponsorships and joint sponsorships; manage activations year-round.
• Maintain communication with 30+ companies and advertising agencies and marketing partners.
• Provide weekly reporting on prospect meetings, opportunities, and leads.
• Create, edit and facilitate contracts, amendments and other documents for assigned accounts.
