Job summary

Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo seeks a Manager, Sponsorship and Business Development to drive strategic partnerships and sponsorships in Houston, TX. You will represent the Show to business, non-profit and rodeo communities and secure financial and in-kind support.

The role requires managing sponsor activations, drafting sponsorship materials, and coordinating with internal teams to deliver value to sponsors and attendees. Strong negotiation and relationship skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, sports management, communications, marketing or advertising or 5+ years related experience.
• Experience in sponsorship, advertising sales, event presentation or coordination.
• Ability to build and nurture business relationships with executives and partners.

Responsibilities

• Develop understanding of Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo and its community impact.
• Lead account representative for sponsorships; manage sponsor activation year-round.
• Maintain communication with 30+ companies/advertising agencies and marketing partners.
• Promote interest and engagement among current and prospective sponsors.
• Create and maintain proposal templates, hand-outs, reports for presentations.
