The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo is seeking an Account Executive to build strategic relationships with sponsors, advertisers and the business community, securing financial and in-kind support for the Show and Rodeo and enhancing sponsor activation year‑round to engage fans and boost attendance.

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in business administration, sports management, communications, marketing or advertising; or at least five years related experience and/or training in sponsorship, advertising sales, event presentation and special event coordination; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have a demonstrated and recognized ability to work at the highest levels with advertising and marketing representatives, corporate executives and marketing partners. Must have the ability to build and nurture business relationships, both internally and externally.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, and technical procedures. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Must have ability to manage tasks at a high level of proficiency and to utilize state of the art information, presentation and processing technology. Requires expert skills in Microsoft applications including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Word. Requires strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Requires excellent telephone and written/oral communication skills. Able to plan and execute projects. Ability to work independently while maintain focus and productivity.

The employee may be required to lift and/or move 15 or more pounds. Extended work hours and days required, especially during peak periods (January – March). Some travel required.
