Job summary

Roth IAMS is seeking a detail-oriented Space Planner to support the Facilities Master Planner and project delivery team. You will analyze space needs, create block and floor plans, and manage CAFM/IWMS data across diverse clients including government, K-12, higher education, and healthcare facilities.

The role requires hands-on space utilization studies, CAD/BIM proficiency, and strong communication with client stakeholders. Hybrid work with travel to client sites is typical in this position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Urban Planning, Facilities Management, Environmental Design, or related discipline.
• Master’s degree in a relevant field is an asset.
• 3–5 years of progressive experience in space planning, facilities planning, or interior design.

Responsibilities

• Conduct space utilization surveys, walkthroughs, and occupancy studies across government, K-12, post-secondary, and healthcare facilities.
• Analyze current and projected space needs; develop options and feasibility assessments for internal teams and clients.
• Prepare block plans, stack plans, and detailed floor plans using AutoCAD, Revit, or equivalent CAD software.
• Maintain CAFM/IWMS databases with accurate space inventory and occupancy data.
• Produce planning reports, utilization analyses, and graphic presentations per Roth IAMS formats and brand standards.
• Ensure deliverables comply with codes and accessibility standards (ADA/AODA).
• Support capital asset database management and quality assurance of drawings and specs.
