Job summary

Roth IAMS is seeking a detail‑oriented Space Planner to support the Facilities Master Planner and project delivery teams. You will analyze space utilization, prepare plans, and manage documentation to deliver evidence‑based space planning for government, education, and healthcare facilities.

The role requires hands‑on CAD/BIM experience, strong stakeholder engagement, and the ability to produce concise planning reports aligned with brand standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Urban Planning, Facilities Management, Environmental Design, or a related discipline.
• Master’s degree in a relevant field is an asset.
• 3–5 years of progressive space planning, facilities planning, or interior design experience in institutional settings.
• Experience with government, K-12, higher education, or healthcare sectors is a plus.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD is required; Revit and BIM workflows are strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct space utilization surveys, occupancy studies, and analyzes across multiple facility types.
• Develop options and feasibility assessments for internal teams and clients.
• Prepare block plans and floor layouts using AutoCAD, Revit, or equivalent CAD software.
• Update CAFM/IWMS databases with accurate space inventory and occupancy data.
• Produce planning reports, analyses, and graphic presentations per brand standards.
• Ensure deliverables comply with codes, accessibility standards, and sector guidelines.
• Support master planning studies and coordinate with architects, engineers, and clients.
• Benchmark space utilization against sector standards and identify consolidation opportunities.
