Job summary

NextGen Federal Systems seeks a Director, Space & Missile Growth to lead strategic customer engagement, opportunity shaping, and capture leadership across the national security space and missile defense community. You will advise executives, develop technical solutions, and drive growth through government partnerships.

The role requires deep mission understanding, technical credibility, and extensive relationships across DoD, US Space Force, and space-related agencies.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance with SAP eligibility at hire
• Experience in national security space, missile defense, or related DoW programs
• Demonstrated leadership in government, military, or industry settings
• Strong briefing, communication, and relationship‑building skills

Responsibilities

• Develop trusted relationships across national security space, missile defense, aerospace, and intelligence communities
• Engage with government stakeholders to understand mission requirements and opportunities
• Represent NextGen at meetings, conferences, and strategic forums
• Identify, qualify, and shape opportunities aligned with growth objectives
• Support account planning, pipeline development, and long‑range growth strategies
• Provide market insight to guide investments and positioning
• Lead or support proposal development, technical solutioning, and reviews
• Mentor staff and future leaders across the company
• Provide executive leadership with market trend assessments
