Job summary

Sierra Space Corporation in Colorado is seeking a Director of Business Development for National Security Space to lead the capture strategy, build a multi-million to billion-dollar pipeline, and guide major pursuit campaigns across DoD, USSF, and IC.

You will partner with engineering and mission teams to craft space solutions for classified missions, mentor a growing BD organization, and ensure alignment with corporate objectives while managing significant budgets and driving ROI.

Qualifications

• Fifteen-plus years in senior leadership with BD focus.
• Active Top Secret with SCI eligibility required.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• Proven track record managing large teams and complex programs.

Responsibilities

• Build and execute a comprehensive NSS capture strategy and tactical business plan at the group level.
• Lead full-lifecycle capture management to secure defense contracts across DoD, USSF, and IC.
• Maintain and expand relationships with key decision-makers in DoD, USSF, and intelligence community.
• Discuss strategic growth, markets, and competitive positioning with executive leadership.
• Negotiate teaming agreements and establish partnerships to unlock opportunities across segments.
• Lead and mentor subordinates to align capabilities with strategic needs and succession planning.
