Job summary

Hitachi Energy seeks a Strategic Procurement Lead to drive high-value sourcing initiatives and build strong supplier partnerships. You will shape procurement strategies to support operational excellence and sustainable growth across engineering, manufacturing, finance, and legal functions.

In this role, you will lead RFI/RFP processes, negotiate complex agreements, monitor supplier performance, and mentor the procurement team to foster continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in relevant field (Supply Chain, Business, Engineering).
• 7+ years in procurement, strategic sourcing, or supply chain management.
• Proven success in supplier negotiations and cost savings.
• Strong knowledge of procurement processes, contract management, and global sourcing.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with business and global objectives.
• Lead end-to-end sourcing activities: supplier identification, RFI/RFP, negotiation, contracts.
• Build relationships with strategic suppliers to improve quality and value.
• Analyze spending trends and identify cost optimization opportunities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support operations and projects.
• Monitor supplier performance and drive corrective actions.
• Negotiate complex commercial agreements with compliance.
