Job summary

Mitsubishi Electric Power Products, Inc. is seeking a procurement professional to source materials, negotiate terms, and manage supplier performance for manufacturing and services. You will ensure timely delivery, maintain cost efficiency, and oversee DBE administration on assigned projects.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree and at least five years in purchasing within technical environments, with strong negotiation and ERP skills. Some travel to supplier sites will be necessary.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or related field with 5+ years in purchasing in technical environments.
• Experience in transportation, transit HVAC, electrical/mechanical procurement preferred.
• Strong negotiation and contract-reading abilities; MS Office and ERP proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Source and qualify suppliers based on price, quality and delivery terms.
• Negotiate terms, monitor supplier performance, and expedite orders as needed.
• Coordinate DBE/Buy America administration and supplier scorecards.
• Review requisitions and POs for accuracy against policies and guidelines.
• Travel to supplier sites to improve relations and resolve issues.
