Job summary

Mitsubishi Electric Power Products, Inc. is seeking a Sourcing Specialist to manage supplier relationships, develop sourcing strategies, and oversee supplier agreements that support the Switchgear Division.

You will help improve procurement performance, optimize costs, and ensure reliable material flow for production and commitments. The role emphasizes negotiating contracts, evaluating suppliers, and coordinating with engineering and operations to drive cost reductions and supplier performance

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in purchasing and supplier contract management
• Equivalency of education and experience accepted

Responsibilities

• Build & Strengthen Supplier Relationships with SWGD stakeholders
• Manage Supplier Contracts & Agreements: negotiation, evaluation, and execution
• Develop Strategic Sourcing Plans and present recommendations to leadership
• Support Production through Inventory Management to ensure uninterrupted operations
• Drive Cost Reduction Initiatives and manage cost overruns
• Resolve Supplier Issues as primary liaison for technical and commercial concerns
• Monitor Supplier Performance on price, quality, delivery, and contract compliance
• Execute Purchasing Activities per forecasts and Limits of Authority
• Maintain Purchasing Procedures and ensure compliance
• Provide Purchasing Leadership to Buyers on production challenges
• Promote Division Excellence through collaboration with customers and suppliers
• Champion Quality & Compliance with MEPPI policies
