Job summary

The Haskell Company is seeking a senior procurement leader to drive project success through strategic purchasing, subcontract buyout, and supplier relationship management. You will lead procurement activities across preconstruction, buyout, construction, and change management, ensuring alignment with schedules, budgets, quality, and commercial goals.

You will mentor Supply Chain Specialists, coordinate with Legal and Operations, and develop bid strategies while monitoring long-lead material

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
• 7+ years of progressive experience in procurement, engineering, construction, estimating, or a related field.
• Experience supporting complex procurement activities, vendor negotiations, and subcontractor management.
• SPSM, CPSM, CPPP, or equivalent certification preferred.
• Previous experience in the AEC industry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead project procurement and subcontract buyout activities, including sourcing, bid solicitation, commercial evaluation, negotiation, and award.
• Develop procurement execution strategies aligned with project schedules and budgets.
• Serve as primary supply chain point of contact for assigned projects.
• Develop bid lists and sourcing strategies for subcontractors, suppliers, and manufacturers.
• Review drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and quantity takeoffs.
• Manage subcontractor and supplier prequalification and risk evaluations.
• Lead RFP/RFQ activities and commercial evaluations.
• Prepare bid tabulations and award recommendations.
• Negotiate and issue purchase orders, subcontracts, and change orders in coordination with Legal, Operations, and Project Management.
• Coordinate contract reviews with Legal and Operations
• Monitor procurement of long-lead materials and equipment.
• Participate in project kickoff, procurement, and turnover meetings.
• Coordinate with Estimating, Preconstruction, Engineering, Operations, and Project Management.
• Develop strategic supplier and subcontractor relationships.
• Mentor Supply Chain Specialists.
• Maintain procurement reporting, trackers, and templates.
• Drive cost savings, risk reduction, and continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and client requirements.
• Travel approximately 10% - 25%
