Job summary

GE Vernova's Steam Power group is seeking a Lead Sourcing Analyst/Buyer to manage supplier selection, cost-out initiatives, and procurement strategies across the Americas. You will prepare reports, analyze spend, and collaborate with senior leaders to drive savings and supply continuity.

The role requires a minimum of 5 years in sourcing, strong Excel, negotiation and analytical skills, and fluency in English.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or equivalent.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in sourcing, procurement, supplier management and tendering.
• Advanced MS Office skills including Excel formulas, VLOOKUP and pivot tables.
• Excellent negotiation and analytical skills with suppliers and stakeholders.
• Fluent in English.

Responsibilities

• Drive sourcing and procurement activities on assigned commodities and suppliers.
• Negotiate pricing and contractual terms; implement framework agreements.
• Issue purchase orders and support full lifecycle of orders.
• Improve KPIs such as on-time delivery and cost savings.
• Collaborate with Tendering to select optimal suppliers and meet delivery requirements.
• Coordinate supplier selection, development, and long-term relationships.
• Develop reports, analyze spend, and apply cost-reduction strategies.
• Collaborate with global teams to implement sourcing strategies.
• Manage procure-to-pay processes and resolve invoices.
• Contribute to an inclusive, diverse team culture.
