Job summary

GE Vernova, Inc. is seeking a Supplier Engagement Leader to drive supply base strategies and ensure supplier performance for MSD, BOP, and HRSG value streams within the HDNU projects sourcing team in the United States.

You will partner with commodity leaders and cross-functional teams to develop initiatives, improve delivery, and extend lean thinking to suppliers. The role requires 5+ years in Sourcing/Supply Chain in power generation or EPC, plus a Bachelor's degree (or 10 years' experience

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university OR HS Diploma/Equivalent with 10 years of experience Supply Chain
• Minimum of 5 years experience in Sourcing, Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance, Operations or Project Management in Power Generation or EPC companies
• Willingness to travel to internationally up to 25-40%
• Master's Degree in a Technical or Business discipline
• 8+ years of Sourcing Experience for Power Generation products; preferably with a focus on plant equipment accessories (MSD, BOP, HRSG)
• Lean tool set (A3, VSM, Problem Solving)
• Experience with SAP, Smartsheet and Tableau

Responsibilities

• Partner with commodity leaders to execute supply strategy
• Partner with suppliers to improve delivery performance for physical products and supporting documentation
• Establish daily management processes to support communication of project execution status and risks
• Extend lean thinking and execution to suppliers
• Using Problem Solving and Lean Tools, lead cross-functional teams identifying systemic causes of delivery delays and implementing long term improvement actions
• Provides technical expertise in areas such as process development, capacity planning, inventory requirements and operational management within a project based environment
• Coach, train and mentor sourcing organization members, on the fundamentals and principals of Lean Manufacturing
