Job summary

Dashiell, an operating unit of Quanta Services, seeks a Senior Manager, Category Management to lead sourcing strategy for electrical apparatus behind substation and transmission projects. Based in Houston, TX, you will own supplier selection, negotiation, contracting, and long-term relationships.

You will partner with engineering and project teams to align sourcing with project needs, deliver cost savings, and mentor a procurement team across multiple categories in a dynamic, safety-focused

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of category management, strategic sourcing, or procurement experience.
• Experience sourcing capital equipment or long-lead materials.
• Hands-on experience with an ERP system (NetSuite, SAP, or Oracle).

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute sourcing strategies for major apparatus categories.
• Lead RFI/RFP/RFQ processes from supplier identification to award recommendation.
• Maintain the Approved Supplier List and Vendor Pricing Guide with current qualifications and negotiated pricing.
• Lead commercial negotiations and manage supply agreements, master agreements, and long-term contracts.
• Own relationships with key apparatus suppliers, including executive engagement and quarterly business reviews.
• Deliver measurable cost savings, cost avoidance, and total-cost-of-ownership improvements.
